Tipsy Tuesday

Whisky Slush Recipe:

I thought I would share my dad's Whisky Slush Recipe. With spring and summer arriving, cookouts, graduation parties, this is the perfect drink to make and share with your guests. My dad made it for every occasion including my graduation parties, wedding, and all the parties he threw when I was growing up. To me the key ingredient is the ice. Dad always used the pebble ice. He would go to Maysville to the movie theater and take a garbage bag. Yes, a garbage bag. Fill it up! (He threw some big parties). I went to Frisch's and asked for 30 32 oz. cups of ice. I got this crazy look from the employee. I just chuckled to myself and handed her my cooler... at the drive thru!! Hey, I am classy!! haha.

Only a few ingredients:

* Pebble ice
*1 frozen grape juice (thawed)
*2 frozen lemonades (thawed)
* whisky (I was told by my dad always to use Canadian Mist. So that's what I used. But I am sure any whisky will do. I don't measure. Dad never did either. Just pour in how ever much you want!!)
* Sprite (to make it "liquidy")

So, me being me, I didn't know the frozen grape juice and lemonade needed to be thawed. That's what happens when you can' t just call up someone and double check. Lucky me, my sister and mom both knew it. I emptied them both in a microwave safe bowl and did it that way. Whatever works, right?! Besides wine, this has to be my favorite drink!

Drink up friends!!
