Weekend fun & party prepping

Another weekend has come and gone! It didn't start off so good with my coffee spilling all over me on my way to work Sat! But I had a good day at work and was able to leave a little early thanks to my awesome coworker (thanks Hillary!!) Nick also worked Saturday which made the logistics of getting Mere to soccer a little hard . I absolutely hate asking for help. I don't like to inconvenience some one else . Sometimes ya gotta get over it and ask for help though. I tell ya it takes a village . Alex was happy to help and we so appreciate it! The girls didn't win but I love watching Meredith and her team play!

Sunday was the perfect weather for Keeneland! Keeneland is one of my favorite places in Kentucky and a Spring and Fall must! Of course, with the gorgeous weather and being a weekend, everyone else in Kentucky had the same idea. That place was PACKED!! It was also Military Appreciation Day. All military (active, retired, veterans ) were able to get in free with proof. Nick brought his papers so the whole family was free! We were given flag stickers to wear! Then we received discounts on merchandise . That came in handy when Meredith "just had to have " a toy horse ! I would love to pretend it was the perfect day but by the time we were ready to head down to Lexington, we were all in a "mood". Let me just tell ya, 4 people in a "mood" does not equal fun!! Max whined from Walton to Lexington as well. Then there is one of us who hates crowds especially the crowds at Keeneland. I won' t name names. But this person is who I worry about with crowds at Disney. Sure will be interesting! But by the time momma got herself a Bloody Mary (Keeneland's are absolutely the best you will ever have!!), and we watched one race, we were all a little better mood wise. Keeneland sure isn't the same with kids lol. But still one of my all time favorite places. I am planning a kid free trip for the fall!! Then momma can have more than one Bloody Mary!!

Meredith makes her First communion on Saturday. I have a lot to get done for her party. Her birthday is the next day so we are combining the two . I feel like Meredith was just baptized (you may find me in a corner crying like a baby rocking back and forth over it!! Just kidding, well maybe). It's hard to believe she is making this special sacrament . She is excited as well to start receiving communion and to turn 8! Time needs to slow down! Sunday evening I made her banner that will hang in church. I plan on doing another post this week with all the party ideas!!

Have a great week ya'll!!
