We watched the Cats play a late game against NKU Friday so we were a little slow moving Saturday. But I promised Mere I would take her shopping for Soccer gear. Also apparently everyone else made the same promise because the store was packed. Luckily Mere found what she wanted right away . Cleats, socks, shin guards, and mouth guard later we were on our way for some ice cream as a reward. The rest of the day was spent lazing around watching games until church. After church we decided to TRY to make my grandma's blackberry cake. Mere and I spent the day in Augusta this past summer learning how to make it from her before she got sick and passed. I am so glad we took the time and spent with her. You can see that post here. I had to text my aunt Christy several times with questions that I had forgotten from that day. The kids helped a little here and there while Nick and I did the majority of making it Saturday. We need a little more practice on the icing. But I would give us an A for effort. It just means we will have to make it again.
It needed to be documented that I fixed my hair for church instead of throwing it up! I have gotten so lazy lately with it.
I also had a little pep in my step this morning and it wasn't because it's the first day of spring! It's not because I woke up an hour earlier and busted out a workout before work. Nope! I woke up to the news the Dukies (also known as Duke puke) went down!! I love me some March Madness and yesterday was the perfect day for it!! When Louisville and Duke both go down and Kentucky win I am in heaven!! It was a tough game for my Wildcats yesterday but some how they pulled off the W. Wichita State gave them a run for their money. I felt like I had ran a marathon after watching it. At one point with 8 minutes left, I looked at Nick and said I need to go for a walk or something. My nerves were off the charts!! lol. Now on to UCLA Friday!! I can't hardly wait!!
Not sure how it happened but "the triplets" turned 18 yesterday! Cue the tears. I have watched these boys grow from little preemies into young men. I have loved every second of it.
Happy 18th boys!!
Nick, Will, & Brady
Have a great week ya'll!!
