Floral Crushes

Ya'll when I say I have been on a floral kick, I am not joking. I am seriously obsessed with all things floral. Maybe it's because I am so ready for spring and floral just screams spring and summer. It reminds me of the gardens my dad would spend hours and hours in each day (and make us kids work in as well) and my grandma's lilac bushes. Anyhow, I thought I would share some of my favorite pieces and some that will soon find a way into my closet! So my question , is there ever too  many florals in one's closet..... asking for a friend haha!!!

First up, these gorgeous green shorts from J. Crew Factory. (one of my favorite places to shop). If you hurry they are currently on sale. I love the fit of them!

I paired with this cute top and this necklace that can also be worn as a bracelet. This outfit will be perfect for any beach vacation. I plan on packing it along for our Charleston trip in June.

On to my other favorite shop, the Loft. I have been a fan of the Loft for years. But lately it has been hit or miss. But all the Spring clothes have all the heart eyes!!

Monday blues

Y'all I am in morning and completely broken hearted 💔! When people talk about Kentucky fans and that they are crazy! That pretty much describes me to a T. I bleed blue through and through! I have been a Cats fan since I was born. They had an amazing season and some unbelievable players! Fingers crossed some of them come back. I was just not ready for this ride to end especially to a team I despise ! Ok moving on !! Slowly !

We had a pretty good weekend . We honestly didn't do too much. Mere bad 2 soccer games on Saturday! I never thought I would be a soccer mom! Lol. But i love watching her and the team play! Who would think watching little girls would be so fun but they are awesome!!

Max wasn't feeling the early start at the soccer field lol

But then he woke up enough for selfies :)

Then happier when Kona Ice came!!

For Christmas we got Mere a soccer bag from Etsy .  You can find it Here.

Sunday was church and watching the game! Why do weekends fly by so fast? Grr. I am not ready for another week!

My sweet boy brought me a "flower"

Oh I want to mention one more thing!! I woke up Saturday morning to a message from my Lipsense leader! Y'all in less than 90 days I hit maiden!! There are certain criterias for achieving different levels as a distributor ! I am in disbelief and how amazing this journey has been. It has been a true blessing for me! I have made new friendships to make this ride even sweeter!! Friends let me know if you want to a). Try this smudge proof lipstick or b). Join my team and ride this train with me!!

Have a great week!!

Silhoutte Charm Bracelet

Hump Day ya'll!! yay!! Counting down to Friday when the Cats take on UCLA.

Today I thought I would share with ya'll the cutest shop I found about a year ago. I was looking for a family ornament and came across Le Papier Studio's instagram account. I was immediately in love with every product available and wanted it all. Of course!! This year I used my birthday/Christmas money and ordered a silhouette bracelet of each of the kiddos. I just got them in the mail this week and couldn't wait to open the little black box.

Boy, I was not disappointed!! The shop owner makes it super easy to upload your images and place your order. She is also great about getting back to you with any questions. You can find Le Papier Studio here and browse her many one of a kind items.

I took these two pictures of each of the kids just using my Iphone. Then uploaded them when I was ready to order.

This is the silhoutte bangle I chose. Seriously how cute and adorable did these turn out!! Obessessed !! Also I love that if I wear them on the side of my wrist tattoo I can look down and see my dad's signature along with the kids he would have adored.

This is the ornament I ordered last year! The picture I used was from our family pictures done in Charleston. Thought it would be a fun picture to use and look amazing as a silhouette. I was so right!! :) Any of the products would be an awesome Mother's Day gift!! Hint Hint fellas!!

Happy 1st day of Spring

Happy Monday and happy 1st day of spring! Now where are those warm temps? I am waiting for the 70's! That's my kind of weather. We had a great weekend starting off with St. Patrick's Day Friday. Nick and I were both off so we wanted to partake in some green beer! We met friends down in Covington at Molly Malone's. We waited in line for 30 minutes and it was packed. We lasted less than an hour and headed across the street to Smoke Justice. What a cool place. If you have not been....go!! It would be a great place go to watch some games. The food was good too!!

We watched the Cats play a late game against NKU Friday so we were a little slow moving Saturday. But I promised Mere I would take her shopping for Soccer gear. Also apparently everyone else made the same promise because the store was packed. Luckily Mere found what she wanted right away . Cleats, socks, shin guards, and mouth guard later we were on our way for some ice cream as a reward. The rest of the day was spent lazing around watching games until church. After church we decided to TRY to make my grandma's blackberry cake. Mere and I spent the day in Augusta this past summer learning how to make it from her before she got sick and passed. I am so glad we took the time and spent with her. You can see that post here. I had to text my aunt Christy several times with questions that I had forgotten from that day. The kids helped a little here and there while Nick and I did the majority of making it Saturday. We need a little more practice on the icing. But I would give us an A for effort. It just means we will have to make it again.

It needed to be documented that I fixed my hair for church instead of throwing it up! I have gotten so lazy lately with it.

I also had a little pep in my step this morning and it wasn't because it's the first day of spring! It's not because I woke up an hour earlier and busted out a workout before work. Nope! I woke up to the news the Dukies (also known as Duke puke) went down!! I love me some March Madness and yesterday was the perfect day for it!! When Louisville and Duke both go down and Kentucky win I am in heaven!! It was a tough game for my Wildcats yesterday but some how they pulled off the W. Wichita State gave them a run for their money. I felt like I had ran a marathon after watching it. At one point with 8 minutes left, I looked at Nick and said I need to go for a walk or something. My nerves were off the charts!! lol. Now on to UCLA Friday!! I can't hardly wait!!

Not sure how it happened but "the triplets" turned 18 yesterday! Cue the tears. I have watched these boys grow from little preemies into young men. I have loved every second of it.
Happy 18th boys!!
Nick, Will, & Brady

Have a great week ya'll!!

for the love of floral

Before Lent began and giving up shopping I found the cutest Navy floral dress here at the Loft. Lately it has been hit and miss when I have gone into shop (but now that I can't shop I am finding ALL kinds of things I want!!). But I saw this and immediately fell in love. Two things I love right now are floral and embroidery. This dress combines the two. It also reminds me of the super expensive dresses at Anthropology that I adore but can't make myself pull the trigger with the price tag. This dress is a little pricey as well and more than I would normally spend but I waited for a 40% off sale which if the Loft seems to have about every other week! It is the perfect time to stock up on some Spring and Summer looks. One thing with this dress....size down!!!

I am obsessed with the details of this dress. So happy I found it before I gave up shopping! But now I have found these shorts that have made their way to my wishlist! I think they would look super cute in an Easter Basket for me....hint hint hubby!!

Now bring on the warm weather!!

Quick Weekend Trip Home

Happy Monday ya'll! Nick has been at the firehouse since Friday morning and isn't home again until Wed! Yikes. Somehow the kids and I survived the weekend without him. Now to make it til Wednesday! We can do...we can do....on repeat in my head. It would be one thing if I could just stay at home but add work on top of it and it can be challenging. Somehow we make do....but barely. Saturday we had to run some errands. Our vacuum stopped working Friday evening right in the middle of me finishing up cleaning. Bout had a panic attack. I cannot live without a vacuum. Max was so excited though. He LOVES vacuums and was pumped to be able to get a new one. Not exactly what I wanted to spend my money on. So after buying a new one we made a visit to the fire house for Nick to put it together. He said you know they are going to give you crap for bringing it here . Umm don't care. I can take it. Momma needs a vacuum.

Bye Bye!

We made it back home just in time to watch the Cats in the SEC semi finals. Lots of screaming at the tv and scaring my kids. These games are intense. What can I say. I am true blue through and through. (This time of year I miss my dad the most. We were 2 of a kind during March Madness. No one I loved watching games with more. ) After the game, Mere was begging to go to Augusta to see her Nanny. I really wanted to just sit at home and relax. Making a trip home was not on my agenda and I am not much at last minute plans. I just don't do it. But she was whining and in tears. She knows how to work it. She did have her and Max's stuff packed lol. I threw a few things in a bag and off we went. I am glad we did.

Cheering on our boys in Blue!

Road trip!

We got there in time to eat dinner ( I had made veg soup so we brought it with us) and baths. We literally did nothing once we got there.  Then Sunday morning we woke up and the kids were being their typical selves and working my nerves. But we made it to brunch at the General Store. (Sundays don't count during lent, right? That's how we were raised at least!!)  I love having breakfast there. On top of yummy food, they have so many cute things for sale. Candleberry candle are one of my fave things to pick up while there. I really wanted this cow canvas for kitchen. I just don't have a spot for it. I may have to make a spot though and fingers crossed it will still be there in a couple months. After brunch it was time for the Kentucky game. SEC championship game is a can't miss (especially when we are back to back to back champs!!) and ended the day with Selection Sunday! GO BIG BLUE!!!!!

Another day of cheering on the CATS!

Mere says this candle smelled like Grandma Habermehl's Blackberry cake! On our agenda for next weekend is trying to make said cake!

Love me a cold Ale 8

Have a great week!
