Disney - days 1 & 2

Day 1-
We stayed in Tifton, Georgia (approx 4hrs from Disney) overnight. After about 8 hours in the car we are all done and over it and I mean OVER IT!!  Tifton was perfect because I found a hotel right off the interstate and close enough to Disney that I could plan stuff for our first day. We arrived about noon. Upon checking into the All Star Movies Resort our room wasn't ready but they said they would send a text alert when it was ready. Not even a half hour later I got the text. Technically we weren't supposed to get into our room until 3. We had  Reservations at 1:40 at beaches and cream at the Beach Club Resort. The food was amazing - I had the chef salad, Nick grilled cheese and tomato soup, Mere got the  Mac and cheese and Max a hamburger . Dessert was  heavenly. Me- Milky Way sundae, kids - Mickey sundae , Nick milkshake. My Sundae was humongous!! Max helped me eat most of it! Good thing there is lots of walking at Disney. We headed  Back to our resort to swim for a couple hours. After showering and dinner we Took the Disney bus to Magic Kingdom to  ride the monorail and boat ! Free way to see Disney resort areas ! And kids loved .  It was an  early bed time for our big day at the Magic Kingdom on Monday.

Before leaving for the monorail, I snuck back into our room and left the kids a little gift!

Day 2- Magic Kingdom

I was up at 5:15,  Kids at 6:15, and on Bus to the Magic Kingdom at 6:45. I think Nick asked me several times what I was thinking having everyone up that early. Well, we had Breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and friends at the crystal palace at 8:05am. I had read several blogs that said the best way to get into Magic Kingdom before it was super crowded and to get those coveted pictures in front of the castle without the crowds was to schedule a character dining experience for before the park opened. This was probably the first reservation I made when it was time to book our dining.  To me it was So worth early reservations! I loved our pictures we were able to snag up close and personal of the castle. I got some really good ones of Meredith. Max wasn't feeling it! haha. Word to the wise---do it!!! If you don't mind being up at the butt crack of dawn and can come back to your resort for naps--DO IT!! Breakfast was yummy. It was a Buffet of all kinds of goodness including our fave Mickey shaped waffles. We were able to eat, meet all the characters and get pics and autographs in an hour. Going in I had a plan on how I wanted to hit the park and ride what rides when but we  deviated from my plans. I tried not to be too much of a hitler when it came to going with the flow. We started in adventureland ( My plans had us starting in Fantasyland) . We rode Pirates of the Caribbean, magic carpet of alladin, jungle cruise (one of my faves. Skipper told corny jokes), and then off to frontierland. We rode Splash mountain which  Max cried but then kept asking to ride again and again. Our first Fast pass was at 10:40 for seven dwarfs mine train. Nick rode with mere and Max and I did a caroseal in fantasyland and to Mad tea party ! By now kids were getting pretty grumpy. We got a snack which helped slightly . So we rode dumbo but Now full attitudes and grumpy . But we pushed on and rode the train and played in the water area. Had 2 more fast passes for the afternoon but instead headed back to hotel for lunch and naps. The kids needed one in a bad way and Nick and I were on the verge of our own meltdowns. On our way out of the park there was the Dance party parade. Nick's exact words were you can't even punish your kids here. lol.

We  Napped and then decided to go swimming. We swam for a little bit and the resort had an activity each afternoon. The kids made tie dye Mickey shirts! The kids loved it. After this we showered and had dinner and headed Back to the Magic Kingdom. We Got lucky and arrived just in time for front row seats for the electrical parade. We had an hour to kill so we Took turns sitting and shopping in stores on Main Street USA . After the parade it was time for fireworks but first they had the celebrate the magic light show! Nicks fave part of the day! It was pretty amazing. I think I may have even had a tear or 2.  Back to the hotel and we were Lucky enough to get on first the first bus. Thank goodness because we were all pretty exhausted and ready for bed. All in all I have to say it was a great day (minus the kid's meltdowns in the beginning of the day)!

Stay tuned for more recaps!!
