Looks like we are packing for a month stay instead of just a few days! Packing light is not in our vocab!

It's so nice coming "home". Sadly, as a kid and teenager, I could not wait to leave and get out in the big wide world! As I get older the old saying "there's no place like home" is so true! For us the time just stands still here. The kids love taking walks, playing with their cousins , going swimming and watching the trains go by! We literally walk everywhere too! We have so many things to soak in while we are home! I am most looking forward to Friday morning (can't wait to share more later about this!). We made it home last night. We decided to take back roads from our house . We made it to Pendleton Co. and I had no idea where to go from that point! Haha. I can get lost anywhere . Thank goodness for maps on the iPhone! It was a beautiful drive through the country though.
We were starving by the time we made it here! The kids were begging for Carota's Pizza! So we unloaded the car and then walked to the pizza place . If you ever find yourself in Augusta and want pizza....go to Carota's! My fave though is the Baked Carota! Yum! Meredith loves their fries with hot cheese !
After dinner we walked back to my mom's along the river. It is so peaceful and calming! A great way to end the night .
Every corner of this town is a memory that I hold dear. I wish I didn't take it for granted growing up here but coming home now is extra special !
