We had our last character dining experience set for our last day. It was at cape may cafe with Minnie and her friends!! I scheduled a late breakfast knowing we would need to use the last of our meal plan for dinner ! Their breakfast buffets at Disney are really good!! The kids loved getting to interact with the characters again. They even came around twice! It wasn't crowded and it was the end of the breakfast experience ! Our reservations were at 10:45. I think if you want more time with characters this is a perfect time! This was probably one of my favorites out of all the dining experiences with the characters.
We were back at our hotel and by the pool by noon! That my friends is where we spent the rest of the day until dinner. We came back and showered and I started packing up and trying not to cry. I get super emotional on the last day of vacations. I literally have to make myself not to break down in tears ... The whole day. I can feel myself on the verge even as I am trying to soak up the last of the fun. It is so hard to go back to reality . Back to the rat race of life . Nick doesn't understand since we "we have a good life". It's just back to trying to juggle being a mom, wife, working full time, all the extra stuff... It's just overwhelming and never ending! On vacation I can let myself breathe . At home I feel like I am drowning ! But back to our last day! After dinner we hung out and Lounged in our room for several hours until the outdoor movie started . They were showing Zootopia! Mere said it was just as good as seeing it the first time! They had free popcorn for everyone plus little mats for the kids!
And what would vacation be without someone getting sick!! Max woke up at 2am saying his belly hurt and crying! Not even a half hour later he started vomiting . What a way to end vacation ! 😩 he got sick for about a half hour and finally calmed down enough to go back to sleep! Of course , we had to call the front desk and get all new bedding . Disney's customer service is top notch! They were so nice and understanding .
We had planned on getting up at 7 am and getting ready to leave but with our eventful night and not getting a lot of sleep, we were finally on the road at 10! Our plan was to drive straight through to Kentucky! But after what seemed like forever and almost to Tennessee we decided it was best to stop for the night! I am so glad we did too. We were all ready to get out of the car. We finally made it home Sunday afternoon where reality punched me in the face! Lol. Laundry upon laundry and a quick cleaning of the house to get ready for the week. I felt like I needed a vacation from our vacation. Nick and I at least both had Monday off. Another day or 2 would have been nice though.
Disney was definitely magical and fun! We can't wait to go back!!
